2nd Update: I am writing a post to showcase the scans. If you don't want to wait, my flickr account username is also onceacub. Videos still slowly but surely uploading, I'm not sure what the problem is. Ugh.
Update: Both boxes now open! All videos are in the process of uploading now although they are taking a looooong time. Next time I won't use my HD camera I think. Box 2 was more like the status quo as I got the 2 autographs and 2 relics. However, I failed to notice in the first box that one of the items I pulled was a 1/1 printing plate! I thought it was just a regular (but still awesome) framed mini when I pulled it. Sorry to tease but I am trying to scan in all the cards and hope to have them listed by noon.
Good morning! I started the box break at 9:00 AM, the first box is now completed and the video is uploading as you read this. I don't want to give too much away but I did get the correct number of relics and 3(!) autographs. Two of the autographs are going to participants but the 3rd is up for grabs via the randomizer! More details to follow!

Gypsy Queen Dry Run Blaster Box Break
Alright, this is why I wanted to do a dry run. Opening the packs was the easy part but apparently it takes longer than I expected for my videos to upload to Youtube. It's about halfway done and I'll post the link as soon as its up and running. Thanks for checking it out.

Welcome to Once a Cub...!
I started off as a card collector and moved on to autographs and memorabilia while still maintaining my card collection. I'm always interested in trading and buying Cubs stuff and I hope to get a wantlist and tradelist on here in the future.
My favorite player growing up was Ryne Sandberg and I enjoy reading sports biographies (and autobiographies although I know most of them are ghost written) so some of you may know me by my username on many sites: rynobooks.
I'm a lifelong Cubs fan but have recently become interested in the teams of the past. I designed the cards in my header and a new passion of mine has been making a custom All-Time Cubs Roster set. It is definitely a labor of love because even with a template, each card (front and back) can take about an hour or more. That includes cutting the player photo out of a background, compiling the statistics while with the Cubs and writing a small blurb about each player.
I hope to post once a day or at least several times a week, even if its just to show of a card from that set so please bear with me while I get a handle on things. Thanks for reading!
